A cautionary tale.  As I sat alone on the train from Leeds on Friday evening, I was joined by three executives on their way back from a meeting with the Department of Health at Quarry Hill. 

It was absolutely incredible how much company confidential information information they gave away.  Apparently they are so far behind on their software development that the development team is not working on any new client’s projects at all; they want their boss in the US (Mxxx) to sack the person responsible (Txxxxx) and the man next to me (Kxxxx) the MD of the UK company, will have a word with the boss on Monday to try to get him to sack T.  On and on they went. 

They gave so many names of executives and product names that I was able to find out via Blackberry and Google, exactly which international software company (not a household name) they were from, well before the drunken Irishman opposite started abusing them for all their corporate-speak!

At least a health think-tank had had the good sense to turn down their partnership proposal recently.   I am sure that if there was any DH civil servant within earshot, they will quickly do the same.
